How do we build or earn trust from others and how do we trust in others? I believe it all starts with integrity. That’s telling the truth and doing the most right things. Integrity enables the right environment for trust. Sincerity, Reliability, Commitment, and Communication all play a part in forming this bond as well. So do we trust in ourselves, our friends, our teammates, our company, and our leaders? When we do, our guards come down and we can share at levels that help us grow personally as well as help the team (or other group) reach their goals. It’s been said that “trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.” That’s how important it is.
As for safety, we have to trust in the plan. Let’s make our safety plan for today and let’s trust each other to do the right things – every time!
