Can we find the hazard? YIKES, I certainly hope so! It’s just a little one right? – WRONG!! I’m guessing this was caused by people pulling the cord out of the plug incorrectly. Regardless of how it got there, we need to be looking this closely for hazards. Let’s not just look for the obvious things; when one hazard compounds another or other hazard(s) the risk increases. With increased risk comes the opportunity of injury – AND THAT’S NOT WHAT WE’RE ABOUT!
Here’s the final thought, seek to eliminate the hazard – that’s the preferred method. If not, then we use controls to protect the team.
