We MUST practice good hygiene in the midst of these illness stricken days. Taking care of ourselves is important, but so is our duty to take care of each other. Let’s make an effort and commitment to wash our hands more frequently, to clean break areas and rest rooms more thoroughly, and to cover our mouths when we cough preferably using the CATCH IT – BIN IT – KILL IT method versus the traditional in our hands, sleeves, or clothing. Consider making a pack of tissues and a bottle of anti-bacterial a regular part of our daily carry items. These plans seem so simple; however, yesterday alone I saw and discussed these issues with several teammates that failed to catch, bin, or kill anything. Let’s do better to get better!
By the way, with a couple different flu strands out there in addition to other illnesses, we can catch multiple things at different times making us feel like we’re just not getting better. Hang in there and get involved with the solution. Let’s all do a little more clean-up in addition to controlling our personal exposures and potential contaminants.
Thanks in advance for everyone’s immediate attention to this. When we’re not feeling well it’s difficult to keep our eyes and minds on task and we all know that increases the likelihood of incident/injury. We’re in this together! Healthy and safe by choice!
Thanks for the share, PT!
