New Final Rule from DOL Requires Certain Employers to Submit Injury, Illness Data
The final rule applies to certain employers in high-hazard industries with 100 or more workers.

A new final rule from the Department of Labor means some employers will be required to submit injury and illness information starting next year.

According to a news release, the rule, announced on July 17, pertains to employers with at least 100 workers in high-hazard industries. Under the rule, which comes off the heels of a March 2022 proposed rule from OSHA, these employers will be required to electronically file data from Form 300 and Form 301 to OSHA, the DOL said.
