Did you catch the difference in the sentences above? The only difference is the use of the words “against” and “for”, yet they change the entire meaning of the action. Here comes my favorite part… Let’s talk safety!
Prepared against – This means we’re trained and that we’ve considered what could go wrong and have put the information together in a way that help us react when things happen. – REACTIVE
Prepared for – Demonstrates an education/understanding in the equipment, process, and personnel that enables us to predict and perhaps even prevent things from happening. – PROACTIVE
