Hello Safety Friends,

Mine safety instructors from Penn State University’s Miner Training Program, along  with an MSHA representative and  mine safety attorney will be conducting a 1-day professional development workshop formine supervisors, competent persons and safety professionals on September 18th, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Woodside, Delaware.

This program can be valuable to all mine operators and contracting companies. The purpose of theworkshop is to enhance safety at your operation through education and training in timely topics, such as:

  • Accident Prevention
  • Silica Issues and Rulemaking in Mining
  • Avoiding Citations
  • MSHA Update and Fatality Review
  • Mine Safety Training Principles and Practices

The program will be held at:

POLYTECH Area School District Campus, Room 5810-Adult Education Conference Center, 823 WalnutShade Rd., Woodside, DE 19980; (phone: 302-697-4545).

The Conference Center is located off of Rt. 13, south of Dover, DE.

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.

There is no charge for attending the program, but participants must register at our Miner Training Program website:  http://sites.psu.edu/minertraining/delaware
