We all have STOP WORK AUTHORITY, but it’s important to understand what that means. Simply put, it means we are charged with the expectation and duty to STOP the process when an immediately dangerous condition is identified to people and or equipment. We have a duty to protect ourselves, each other, and our property; whether on or off the job.

Make no mistake about it, we don’t STOP for everything, because everything isn’t dangerous. Remember, the difference between dangerous and hazardous is the lack of control. Our job is to prevent surprises that lead to incidents and incidents that lead to injuries. To stop, pause, or ask questions sometimes requires courage – rest assured we support and encourage all three.

Let’s do our part to ENSURE the well-being of ourselves, our teams, our contractors, and all others effected by our activities. That means ZERO HARM!
