The Virginia Coal & Energy Alliance and Southern States Energy Board’s 39th annual conference and exposition, May 21 and 22, 2018, at the Meadowview Conference Center, Kingsport, TN is fast approaching. The theme for this year’s meeting is “The New Vision for Coal.”

The annual golf outing will be Monday, May 21st at the Meadowview’s Cattails nestled between the rolling foothills of the Appalachian and Great Smoky Mountain, offering fantastic scenery as you play the challenging par 71 golf course. The 18 Hole championship course was designed by the renowned Denis Griffiths and is conveniently located adjacent to the Hotel.

The annual fishing tournament will also be Monday, May 21st at the TVA Ramp, Boone Lake Dam. The tournament will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The program will begin Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. with elected officials and leaders with industries sharing their views and thoughts about the energy industry in today’s markets as well as government protocols and rules. Jack Richardson, CEO, Warrior Met Coal has accepted our invitation to speak at the opening session. The Welcoming Reception will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

On Tuesday morning, the program will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a keynote session. Speakers have been invited however we don’t have confirmation yet.

Limited exhibit space is available. The cost for exhibit space is only $750.00. One person attends all meeting functions and special activities planned for attendees.
