Instructor Fundamentals Institute for Part 48 Training Requirements

This course is designed for and highly recommended for Mining Companies that are under 30 CFR Part 48 training requirements and Independent Contractors who do contract work at Part 48 mining operations.
The purpose of the course is to cover the legal requirements of the Federal Part 48 training standards, to cover and discuss the requirements of a Part 48 Training Plan, and to learn the basic fundamentals of lesson plan development and teaching.
Students who complete the course will be considered for approval by MSHA Southeast District for surface mines that are under Part 48 Training Requirements, and they will be issued an approval card by MSHA showing such status.

Tue, 2nd: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Wed, 3rd: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Thu, 4th: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
The course is FREE of charge.
15 is the maximum number of students for this course.
All course materials needed are provided by the Mine & Quarry Bureau. Because lesson plan development is a required part of this course, please feel free to bring a lap top computer or any other materials that might assist you in developing lesson plans and/or teaching materials.
