Toolbox Talk: Core Values and Safety

Toolbox Talk: “CORE VALUES AND SAFETY”

Accountability– Responsibility of our actions that influence the lives of our customers and fellow workers.

Creating a safe work environment, like any other organization-wide initiative, can only be assured when everyone, in every job, takes ownership and accountability for making the workplace safe.

Balance– Maintaining Healthy life and work balance. When our work life and personal life are out of balance, our stress level is likely to soar.

This will naturally affect how we perform and focus and impact adversely on our safety.

Maintaining a healthy life and work balance is therefore very important for us to work safely.

Collaboration-Collaborating within and outside the company to give the best Commitment-Commitment to generate great product, service and other initiatives that impact lives both within and outside the organization.

Community– A sense of responsibility and contribution to society that define our existence

Consistency-Be consistent in offering the best for to get the best results. In the words of Aristotle “We are what we do consistently, excellence is therefore not an act but a habit”.

Diversity– Respecting the diversity and giving the best of the composition.

Even though we share a common goal we must recognize that each of us is unique, but understanding the diverse mix of individuals we are is the first step in respecting each other and working together to achieve our objective of an injury-free work environment.

Efficiency– Being efficient and effective in our approach to every task each time.

Empowerment– Feeling empowered to take initiative and give the best for the benefit of the team.

Fun– Having fun, enjoying our tasks and celebrating small successes in our journey to achieve big.

Integrity-Acting with honesty and integrity without compromising safety.

Doing the right thing all the time Leadership- The courage to lead from the front, set a positive example and shape the future.

Ownership– Taking ownership of the processes that drive our safety management system.

Passion-Putting the heart and mind in the work, looking out for safety at every opportunity.

Quality-Giving the best and striving for the highest quality in the results.

Respect-Giving due respect to self and others and maintain the environment of team work and growth.

“All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” Martin Luther King Jr.
