Crews work for 10 hours to dig out dump truck, recover body
HARRISON COUNTY, Iowa —
Update:
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office identified the man whose body was recovered from a sand pit in Iowa after a dump truck fell in as Christopher McMullen, 38, of Madelia, Minnesota.
Crews worked for ten hours Thursday to pull the truck out of the sand pit at Hallett Materials just south of Dunlap. Authorities have not yet said how the truck went off the road and ended up in the sand pit.

Deputies deemed the effort a recovery mission sometime this afternoon.
Rescue crews did discover a body inside the submerged truck, but are not able to identify the individual.
The driver of the truck has been reported missing.
A recovery effort was reported at Hallett Materials, just south of Dunlap, around 5 a.m. Thursday.
