Today is Flag Day and this day honors a June 14, 1777, Second Continental Congress resolution about a flag for our country. It resolved, that the Flag of the thirteen United States shall be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the Union be thirteen stars, white on a blue field. Thankfully we maintained our forefathers design and have grown to be the World’s greatest Nation. As Americans we have the freedom and duty to fly our flag proudly as a reminder of the men and women that died defending it.
Thanks for the share, PT!
