A contract worker was fatally injured at Vulcan Materials’ River Road Quarry in West Nashville on Monday morning, June 10, 2019, WKRN News reports.
Emergency crews arrived at the quarry shortly after 11 a.m. to find 22-year-old Colin Sawasky dead at the scene.
According to TMJ4, the operator of a front end loader was putting sand into the ditch where Sawasky was working when the loader slid into the ditch, pinning Sawasky against a concrete culvert.
