Man dies in Jefferson County mining accident
The miner was pronounced dead outside the Kocjancic Mine
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. — A coal miner died Tuesday afternoon in an accident a Rosebud Mining facility in Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Coroner said the 27-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead outside the Kocjancic Mine in Snyder Township.
No details of the 4:00 P.M. accident were immediately available.
No cause of death has been determined pending an autopsy Wednesday, the coroner said. Click here for more information.

27-year-old coal miner dies in accident near Brockway mine

Snyder Township, PA – A coal miner was killed in an accident at a mining site in Jefferson County on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The 27-year-old man died as the result of an accident near the Kocjancic Mine Project for Rosebud Mining in Synder Township, near Brockway.
It happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The Jefferson County Coroner confirms that an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Click here for more information.
