Special Edition: 44th Anniversary of the First Scotia Explosion

Today marks the 44th Anniversary of the first of the 2 explosions at Scotia, killing 15 miners. Two days later it exploded again killing 11 more with 2 survivors. This is the Mine I worked at and helped shape my future in mining and safety. It is fully ingrained in my brain as with many others. Here are some pictures of the Memorial and some underground showing the results of the explosion.
