Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day is deleted.

What would you do?

Draw out every cent, of course!!! RIGHT?

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME!

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to put to good use. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it credits you the same amount to each of us to use as we see fit.

Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”. You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.  And remember, tomorrow is not a guarantee – at some unexpected time each of us will find out that we have a ZERO BALANCE!!!

To realize the value of one year,
ask a student who has failed his final exam.

To realize the value of one month,
ask the parent of a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week,
ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one day,
ask a daily wage laborer who has a large family to feed.

To realize the value of one hour,
ask lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of one minute,
ask a person who has missed the train, the bus, or a plane.

To realize the value of one second,
ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of one millisecond,
ask the person who has won a silver medal at the Olympics.

Two questions you may want to ask yourself:

First, ‘Did my life matter – did I make a difference in some small way?’

Second and more importantly, ‘Have I given those who matter most to me enough of my time… when I am gone from this planet will my loved ones have memories to remember me by or did I put those special moments off too long?’

Live for today – Treasure every moment that you have! Use your time wisely… do something interesting, share it with someone special, make some memories, have some fun, but don’t take it for granted. Time waits for no one…

I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong. -Abraham Lincoln

Thanks for the share, WK!
