Unfortunately, the reports are showing an increased number of exposures and subsequent positive tests. Some states and regions better (or worse) than others, but there isn’t any place in the free and clear. We are dealing with a pandemic and just in case we didn’t know, the root word “pan” is Greek for “ALL” and it’s what makes this virus so much more dangerous. We’re all susceptible to COVID-19 and right now in the moment we just don’t know all there is to know about it; so as we learn we need to continue doing everything we can to reduce the risk of catching and/or spreading it.
Believe it or not, I still get emails, texts, and calls from people who think masks are bad. Even if we find out in the end, they didn’t really help, our wearing them and seeing others wearing them reinforces positive behaviors. It says, “I care, they care, or we care.” With the WHO, DPH, and Federal and State recommendations out there, those who elect NOT TO WEAR think they know better; so they don’t err to the side of caution. That choice says something a little different when we see them in public places in close proximity to others.
Being most safe today isn’t always the most fun or popular decision. Safety requires courage! Thanks for reading…
