What are we doing to add value? At work, home, church, or in our communities just to name a few. What is adding value anyway? I believe it’s when we act in a manner that makes something better – better equals more valuable or “of greater value.” So let me surprise everyone by turning this toward safety. How are we making our safety efforts; policies, plans, protocols, and procedures better? Asking questions, sharing stories, and speaking up in general are all ways we can make ourselves better and cause others to think more and contribute. Who knows, maybe our next question, as simple as it may seem, might just change or save a life.
We don’t add value by accident either, it has to be an intentional act(s) that is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, andtimely. Sound familiar?
Our safety today needs our intentional ‘smarts!’
Thanks for the share, PT
