By now most of you probably know that H and I are foster parents. We currently have 6 and as one would imagine; things don’t always go as planned. H asks these questions so often that she actually printed these cards to simply hold up when tempers fly. It’s funny to watch the kids when she does it, because they can quote them now almost in her voice when they catch themselves being mean or saying mean things. I found it blurb worthy because it’s true in life as well. In fact, it’s true to everything we say and every relationship we have.
As for safety, we’re leaders and to be the most effective we can be, we need to think about the things we say, why we say them, and how we same them. Is it true, is it helpful, is it inspiring, is it necessary, and is it kind. Sure there may be an exception to this rule, but it would be just that – an exception!
Our safety matters to us because we matter to each other. Caring is a key characteristic of a champion! Let’s champion safety today!
Thanks for the share, PT!
