Happy day to everyone. We are get it done and make it happen kind of people, right? What’s missing in those two phrases? It’s the word safely! If we get it done or make it happen and we hurt someone in the process — we’ve failed! The expectation is that we’ll use the knowledge, the right tools, the time, the assistance, the team’s knowledge, the stop work authority, and anything else needed to stay safe – WE JUST HAVE TO USE THEM WHENEVER NECESSARY!
Our personal safety (on and off the job) is our personal responsibility; no ifs, ands, or buts about it! By the way, in addition to personal safety, there is team safety as well. We’re also responsible for each other. See something – say something after all, we’re in this together!
