I saw this illustration last week and thought it would be good to revisit “work/life balance” again since it’s been a few weeks. Are we in a routine that is less than enjoyable or exhausting to sustain? Find the good elements and work to link them together with additional positive interactions. I like to think of it as knocking down the hills in our life. If we use the bike analogy, I think we’d all agree that riding on flat ground is a little more enjoyable than the ever changing “uphill” battles.
The same goes for safety, find the hazards and eliminate them. If we can’t eliminate them, engineer or administrate our protection, and if that doesn’t get it all perfectly controlled – use the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) as our last line of defense.
Let’s make safety as rider friendly as we can today – it comes from knocking down the associated hills. (a.k.a. hazards)
Thanks for the share, PT!
