A quick thanks to PB for sending me this nugget with only one-word attached… “WOW!!” That’s certainly a very powerfully spoken word, especially since he used double explanation marks. We’ve already concluded that people do silly things and when they do, those same people are exposed to unnecessary risks. Unfortunately sometimes costing injury to themselves or others.
So how do we get to this – how do we get here? We take unnecessary risks, we get in a hurry, we get frustrated, we take shortcuts, we think it will never happen to us, we think since it worked last time it’s good this time, and/or WE JUST DON’T THINK!!! These are all examples of unsafe behaviors.
As safety champions we need to think 24/7/365! Remember, today is our next opportunity.
Thanks for the share, PT!
