I saw this the other day on someone’s social media post and thought it would be good to blurb about. We’re all in and as such, we tend to dwell on things that really don’t matter sometimes. What people say really shouldn’t control us like it does at times. Things related to ourselves, our families, our teams, our friends, and/or our neighbors, just to name a few. Sometimes silly people say silly things and if we are really honest, I think we’d all admit to being silly sometimes ourselves.
As for safety, sometimes we fail and get lucky and then again sometimes we fail and get injured. When we get distracted from ‘safety,’ things change and that change is usually not for the good. Safety is understanding the task and the associated hazards (pre-during-post). Safety is having the courage to share our understanding with others – even when they don’t want to hear it.
Safety happens today when we all are ready, willing, and able to make the right choices – every time!
Thanks for the share, PT!
