Perception is reality! We’ve had fun over the years with pics like this one and they are intended to remind us that “we see what we think we see.” Some might see the duck and others the bunny; but our “reality” is based on/from our existing understanding. Our opportunity today is to “want to know more”; to expand our realities, if we will. Perhaps consider changing our paradigms even. It’s a life lesson and a safety lesson all rolled up in one. In safety, WE CAN”T DO THINGS THE SAME WAY JUST BECAUSE WE’VE ALWAYS DONE THEM THAT WAY. We can; however, do things the right and safe way when we understand why we do it that way and only when we’re committed to always being on the look-out for better- more safe ways to perform.
So it’s not about the bunny or the duck at all. It’s about making certain we see what we’re supposed to be seeing through a common understanding, good communication, an action plan, and follow-up.
Let’s get busy today about making safety intentional.
Thanks for the share, PT!
