We want what we want and we want it now! We live in a society where that little ditty has just about became the norm. In short, people (often us) are in a hurry and when in a hurry we sometimes find ourselves stressing for no real good reason. I have been working on my personal patience, because I realized recently that I’m an impatient person at work and at home.
As we relate to safety, patience is a virtue. It’s our patience that enables us to stay focused with our minds on task. Patience also enables us to listen better, with the intent to understand and not merely respond. To sustain ZERO we all have to be patient and demonstrate good patience when dealing with errors, break-downs, and behaviors.
