We’re different aren’t we!? I believe this difference comes from our overall outlook or attitude about life and people. It’s true, “attitude is what separates the best from the rest.” So how is our safety attitude today? Do we do the right things because we’re told to, because we have to, because the rule says to, or do we do “it” because we understand and want to? Wanting to do the right things for the right reasons is exactly what safety is all about.
As safety champions, we need to make certain we’re talking, teaching, sharing, and preaching the right attitudes. We’re champions because we’re willing to go the extra mile sometimes for what we believe in. Imagine how wonderful that looks and feels like when we believe in each other.
