Are we good listeners? On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst) how would we rate ourselves? I’d probably give myself about a 7.5 overall. Our full understanding requires truly listening to everything being said. We’ve all heard the saying that’s why we have two ears and one mouth – so we’ll listen twice as much as we’ll talk. To fully understand safety we have to listen as well. Listen to the teacher that offers us the process. Listen to the leader that gives us the plan. Listen to the teammate that assists in making things happen, and Listen to ourselves when we don’t understand or when something doesn’t seem right. LISTENING ENABLES US TO ACT SAFELY AND IN TIME TO PREVENT INCIDENTS.
Let’s make it a point to listen more – rest assured everyone has a story to tell. We never know when we’ll hear that small tidbit of information that will make all the difference in our life, to our team, or to our family.
Let’s Be Safe On Purpose today!
