How’s that for a message from one of my favorite CEOs out there. Leadership is about people – period! How do we tell each other we care? Do we say it verbally or do we show it physically through our actions? Hopefully a little or a lot of both.
As safety leaders we have to care as well. When we don’t, we catch ourselves just “going through the motions” and teammates pick up on that. Our goal as leaders should be to lead and when we’re not engaged ourselves, we can’t expect our teams to want to follow. We’re safe because we care about each other, and that caring is paying huge dividends toward our goal of ZERO injuries.
We’re successful when WE ALL remain AWARE, ALERT, ACCOUNTABLE, and take ACTION.
Thanks for the share, PT!
