Cornett's Corner

Poster: Lawnmower Hazard

Team –
I meant to send this earlier; however, I misplaced it until this past weekend. It’s a share I received from our friend and colleague BG. BG was fishing at the Lake when he snapped this pic as a reminder of what not to do. The fact is, we’re get it done kind of folks! We make things happen – we’re movers and shakers, and we’re proud of that! The problem, concern, or opportunity is for us to blow right past the most right way in order to finish more efficiently. This share, a guy working under a lawnmower that is propped up on a couple chair is a perfect example of a get it done kind of person; however, it that the most safe? We just can’t tell from the photo, but we kind of doubt it. We need to plan safety into our tasks at-home like we do at-work. We have the time to be safe, we just don’t always take it.

Let’s set out to be every bit as safe off the job as we are on the job. We do so by adopting our awesome safety culture as a way of life and not merely as something we do when we get to work. I know thousands that already practice this; however, based on our “home stories” (personal inclusion here) we still have room to grow. Please stay well today!

Special thanks to BG for sending the pic for today’s blurb. Thanks for the share PT!
