As the heat comes, it’s important to protect ourselves. One sure way to beat the heat is to understand the early signs and/or symptoms of heat exhaustion. Heat exhaustion is the most common type of heat emergency and if left untreated could become something much more serious.
Let’s remember, it’s easier to prevent an incident than it is to recover from one. That’s why grandma always said, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Hydration remains the best tool out there to prevent heat related incidents. More on heat tomorrow; until then, drink some water, eat well, take frequent breaks (out of the heat), avoid caffeine, and get some legit rest.
We’re in this together and together we can beat the heat.
Thanks for the share, PT and JL!
