We’ve learned that RUSHING, FRUSTRATION, FATIGUE, and COMPLACENCY coupled with errors can create incidents and injuries. In our last unit of SafeStart training we even learned that EXTREME JOY or EXTREME SORROW can also lead to incident as depicted above by these two Auburn fans stuck in the bushes trying to enter the field after their win against the mighty Crimson Tide of Alabama this past Saturday. Special thanks to DS for sharing this pic with us and in his note he identified this as a result of EXTREME JOY.
All jokes aside, if/when we let “other things” block out our intentional safe judgement – we fail. When we fail, people get hurt.
Safety isn’t on a day – off a day or just when working, safety is 100% of the people – 100% of the time!
Thanks for the share, PT!
