Physical distancing is a hazard control that we’ve used for years. It’s what we’ve used in years gone past for pulleys, gears, and conveyors. Keeping our distance from a recognized hazard prevents incidents as long as we’re thinking about it. The problem is, sometimes we fail to think. Don’t be mad – it’s the truth and we see it every day in and around near misses and acts of complacency. For various reasons, we just don’t think!
Now we’re using distance to help prevent illnesses. However, we’re battling something we can’t see, hear, smell, or recognize; so the only thing we can do is distance ourselves from others every chance we have. When we can’t, we need to mask up to further protect us from the hazards associated with other unknowingly virus carrying people. The truth is, we just don’t know!
Physical distancing and masking remain our two biggest defenses to illness. Please stay well today – ACCEPT NOTHING LESS!
Thanks for the share, PT!
