When we see something – we say something! That’s one of the cultural characteristics that makes us safety champions. The truth is…when we’re looking for hazards we find them. Remember, hazardous is different than dangerous; in that danger represents the absence or loss of control. Hazards on the other hand, occur even when controls are in place and have to reevaluated regularly to ensure they haven’t changed or new ones added.
Regardless of their differences, they (Dangers and Hazards) both need RECOGNIZED so that they can be ELIMINATED and/or CONTROLLED.
One safe today at a time!
Thanks for the share, PT!
