Poster: Controls

It’s been a minute since we’ve last spoke of hazard controls and it’s a topic worth revisiting every now and again so here it is….

  1. We should strive to eliminate the hazard. THIS IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY!
  2. If unable we should substitute for it whenever/wherever available.
  3. Still exists? We should engineer some protection. THIS IS OFTEN THE MOST PRATICAL.
  4. Need a rule or a sign – that’s administrative. THIS CAN BE USED IN CONJUCTION WITH ANOTHER CONTROL.
  5. Last but not least – There’s PPE. PROPER PPE WORN PROPERLY THAT IS!

Let’s consider what we can do to get better and then… LET’S GET BETTER!

Thanks for the share, PT and JL!
