AWARENESS IS KEY! We really do have a lot of information in front of us; the question is, what are we doing with it? Our personal, family, and team safety requires us to review, share, and most of all practice safe work plans and protocols. If we’re not practicing them, we’re going to fail and that means eventually someone will get hurt and that’s not what we’re about.
The same can be said for all this COVID-19 chatter. We have same practices in place and it’s up to us (ALL OF US) to review, share, and most of all practice them. Any failures to follow all guidelines could result in an exposure and subsequent illness. The difference between our traditional safety plans and our illness prevention plan is that we’re still writing it with ever changing information. That means we cannot rely on yesterday’s understanding; this COVID-19 situation is a real concern and we should all be seeking to understand and implement protocols and precautions in our workplaces, homes, churches, and communities.
Our awareness meters should be pegged to the max. Remain illness-aware!
COVID-19 Fact:
Social Distancing is defined as; the practice of maintaining a greater than usual physical distance from other people or of avoiding direct contact with people or objects in public places during the outbreak of a contagious disease in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection.
NOTE: Earlier last week I emphasized fist bumps or elbow taps in lieu of hand shaking; however, that opinion much like others have changed. Let’s not touch at all for now. Let’s practice social distancing in an attempt to stop spreading this virus.
Thanks for reading and sharing this information.
And thanks for the share, PT!
