Everyone needs a best friend and sometimes they come in the form of an animal. We’ve all heard that laughter is the best medicine and pets – just like people can and often do make us laugh. Laughing is contagious too. Did you know that there is a fostering program through most animal shelters? This is a way we can experience the joys of pet ownership BEFORE actually adopting one/some. Pets can be therapeutic too; helping us through difficult times of loss and loneliness.
For safety, it’s helps us to help others. Caring for a pet helps teach us how to bet care for ourselves and for others. It’s a proven fact that everyone needs a little company. Sure, we might like our peace and quiet, but too much of anything can eventually become bad for us.
So get active, take a walk or walk a dog. Visit with people in need of a visit; in fact, who knows, we might be the one needing the visit.
Safety is Action – and there’s no better day than today for action!
Thanks for the share, PT!
