There’s an order for everything. In procedures or instructions there’s always a 1 before a 2 or an “A” before a “B” for a reason. This is to enable us to follow a pre-determined plan that should result in a desired consequence. One exception to this rule is safety. Safety doesn’t plug in to one small spot in the bigger efforts; it remains at the beginning, throughout the effort, and even following up once completed. The truth is…SAFETY IS ABOVE ALL ELSE. When we let our guards down, we get hurt.
When is the last time we hurt ourselves? Bump, scrape, splinter, bruise, or cut? Think about that experience – could it have been worse? Could we have done something differently?
Thanks for the share, PT!
