50 Point Explanation

At an angle of 30 degrees-to-the-horizontal, the two sling legs are so stressed that its lifting capacity is cut in half. Also, remember that it is usually only two legs of a multi-leg (3, 4 leg, etc.) sling that carry most of the weight. Thus, multi-leg slings can only lift an amount equal to a single straight leg sling if the sling angles are 30 degrees. The main advantage of a multi-leg sling is not neccessarily increased lift capacity, but rather its ability to control the load better than a single-leg. Just be sure you know how the sling angles affect its lifting capacity.
