40 Point Explanation

Grades 80 and 100 are sometimes referred to as grades 8 and 10. The grade depends on the lifting application. Grade 80 is alloy steel, has good strength-to-weight ratio and excellent durability, and is specifically designed for overhead lifting. Grade 100 is made from hardened and tempered alloy steel, has superior durability and fatigue resistance. Chains should be inspected on a regular basis, especially at the points where the inner surfaces meet.
