A 29-year-old Foreman/Belt Man with 8 years of mining experience, 1 years at this occupation, was fatally injured in the
Harlan Branch.

He was positioned between the structure as he and a co-worker were replacing a bad splice when the belt unexpectedly
started. This resulted in him becoming entangled in the conveyor belt and splicing equipment as he was taken down the
entry.
