2022 September-October Edition

In this edition of the Labor Ledger, we feature a guest column by Harriet Hopkins, administrator of NCDOL’s Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Bureau (REDB), who explains the resources the REDB provides to employees and what actually constitutes employment discrimination.

We also welcome another guest columnist, Recognition Program Manager LaMont Smith, to give us a rundown of the 25th annual Carolina Star Safety Conference that was held in Greensboro.

In addition to our long-running columns Deadly Mistakes, Workplace Worries and Retaliatory Rights, we are now including job listings for open positions here at the NCDOL. We hope you enjoy all the great content we have packed into this edition of NCDOL’s Labor Ledger!
